I genuinely had a difficult time with this project, it took four different photos to find one that worked with the black and white image trace, but when I found this one I knew it worked really well with the eyes and face structure. This project took about 3 hours because there were so many details in my hair because it is so thin and I had to fix the color on everything separately because the way illustrator grouped the sections came out funky. I am very happy with my final product.

Business Cards

I had a difficult time with this project, I couldn't seem to make something as simple as a heart and it was very frustrating. I made a lot of mistakes and spent hours trying to fix them but here is my final product. I am most proud of the Daydreamer and the Beach Lover, I had a really hard time with the rest of them but I think eventually they came out okay. I am disappointed in my Coffee mug, and the shape of the cat, but I do think that I made progress from the first time around and hope that can be recognized. Enjoy!

Representations of What Represents Me

Image
I see myself as a daydreamer, a cat lover, a beach lover, a coffee drinker, and a halloween enthusiast. You'll see various designs, some much better than others, but overall I enjoyed doing this. It took hours of digging through my imagination and I am not even close to being an artist so I hope some of these designs will look better digitally than how I drew them because drawing them so horribly ruined some of my ideas that I really liked in the first place. My favorite grouping is definitely the daydreamer one, as you can picture, that one opened up my imagination the most because it wasn't all subjective stuff, you have to actually think a little bit to understand the concept that I had for mostly all of them in that series and I hope I get to use those in an upcoming project.

Jack Skellington Calligram

This project was the most time-consuming and difficult thus far, I had a lot of troubles and had to overcome many roadblocks but overall I am very proud of my final product. I put about 12-13 hours of work into this calligram and of course my inspiration was my favorite movie, a Nightmare Before Christmas and also because it's Halloween!

Favorite Calligrams

These are just a few of the many calligrams that I loved looking at, although they are quite simple I think the detail is exquisite and I love all of the themes that these people used. In my calligram, I am planning to do Jack Skellington from the Nightmare before Christmas out on the "mountain" at night while he sings a song. I am using the lyrics of the song to create the picture.
